2014 Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible Sold For $500,000 At Hot August

The last piece of the 2014 Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible  is sold for $500,000. The car was auctioned at the Hot August Nights Auction in Reno, Nev which is purchased by the Don Demon and the sale benefit the Brain Injury Association of America. On Saturday 10th August the Don Demon of Great Bend, Kan won the bidding war of the Ford 2014 Shelby GT500. The North American car Marketing manager for Ford, Steve Ling said “It was thrilling to watch the bidding unfold, The moment showed the power of a great charity and a great car, and the tremendous generosity of the Damon family and our friends at Barrett-Jackson.”

For the past several years, Ford is supporting charities by selling its top notch vehicles and the Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible is another vehicles sold for charity. The new 2014 Ford Shelby GT500 is powered by a 5.8 liter V8 engine produces 662 horsepower and 631 lb ft of torque. A six speed manual gearbox and rear wheel drive are standard. The car accelerates from 0-60 mph in 4.0 seconds that is making it quicker than the Challenger SRT8 and Camaro ZL1. The regular price of the Shelby GT500 is $59,800.
